What is a client photo gallery?

A client photo gallery is a private web page where you deliver finished work. Instead of attaching files to an email, sending a giant download link that expires, or handing over a USB stick, you upload your photos once and send your client a single link. They open it on a computer or phone and see your work laid out properly, with a cover, a clean grid and a full-screen viewer.

For a working photographer, that matters for two reasons. First, delivery is the last thing your client experiences, and it shapes how they remember the whole job. Second, a good gallery saves you time: clients can look, choose and download without asking you to resend files. Pxture is built around exactly that.

How to deliver photos to clients, step by step

If you have been wondering how to deliver photos to clients without the hassle, this is the whole process in Pxture.

  1. Create a gallery. Give it a title, pick a cover and choose one of six ready-made styles. A live preview shows how it looks on desktop and on a phone before anyone else sees it.
  2. Upload from your browser. Drag and drop photos and videos in bulk. Everything is stored securely in the cloud, so there is nothing to install.
  3. Set the rules. Decide whether downloads are on, add a password if you want one, and set an expiry date if the gallery should close after a while.
  4. Share the link. Copy a ready-made message you can edit, or send the gallery by email straight from Pxture to up to 5 clients. Replies go to your own inbox.
  5. Watch it work. See client visits, downloads and favorites for each gallery, so you know when your clients have looked and what they picked.

What your clients see

Your clients do not need an account or an app. They tap your link and the gallery opens, fast and clean, on whatever they are holding. On a phone, photos sit in a simple two-column layout, and tapping one opens a full-screen view with a few small icons, so there is nothing to figure out.

Two things clients do most are marking favorites and downloading. They tap the heart on the photos they love, and you can see exactly which ones they picked. They can download a single photo, or tap Download all to get everything as one ZIP. If you added videos, those play right inside the viewer next to the photos.

You are not stuck with one look, either. Choose from six ready-made styles (Classic, Modern, Editorial, Cinema, Romance and Minimal), then fine-tune the cover, fonts, colors, photo layout and spacing until the gallery feels like yours. See every feature for the full list.

Keep control of your work

Private delivery only works if you stay in charge of who sees what. Each Pxture gallery has a private, hard-to-guess link, and galleries are never indexed by search engines, so your client work does not turn up in a Google search. For more privacy you can add a password. For tidier delivery you can set an expiry date: after it passes, clients see “This gallery has expired”, while your photos stay safely in your account.

Downloads can be switched on or off for each gallery. That is handy when a client is still choosing favorites and you would rather they finish before taking files away. On the Free plan, downloads are web-size (2000 px on the long side) with a small Pxture logo. On paid plans, clients get full-resolution downloads with no Pxture logo. Compare the plans on the pricing page.

Photos, video and RAW in one place

Many shoots now include more than stills. Pxture accepts MP4, MOV and WebM video up to 5 GB per file, and clips play in the gallery with thumbnails and durations shown. The longest video you can add depends on your plan, from 10 minutes on Basic up to 4 hours on Ultimate. The Free plan does not include video.

If you deliver RAW files, Plus and higher plans can pair them with JPEGs. Upload IMG_001.CR3 and IMG_001.JPG and your client sees one photo with an extra “Download RAW” option. When they use Download all, the RAW files go into a separate folder so nothing gets muddled.

Want clients to pick before they pay or before they download? That is what photo proofing is for.

What to look for in an online photo delivery tool

Whichever service you choose, run through this list before you commit your clients to it.

  • Can clients open it on a phone without an app or an account?
  • Can you protect a gallery with a password and an expiry date?
  • Are galleries kept out of search engines?
  • Can you switch downloads on and off per gallery?
  • Do you get full-resolution downloads without a logo on your clients’ photos?
  • Does it handle video and RAW files if you shoot them?
  • What happens when you reach your storage limit? (With Pxture, new uploads pause and nothing is deleted.)
  • Can you start without a credit card, so you can test it on a real job?

Pxture’s Free plan lets you try the whole client experience on a small gallery before you decide. Sign up with Google or email, no credit card.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do my clients need an account to view their gallery?

No. They open the private link you send and the gallery loads. Clients can tap the heart to mark favorites and download photos without creating an account.

Can search engines find my client galleries?

No. Every gallery has a private, hard-to-guess link and is never indexed by search engines. You can also add a password and an expiry date.

How do clients download their photos?

They can download single photos from the viewer or tap Download all to get a ZIP. You can turn downloads on or off for each gallery at any time.

What size are the downloads?

On the Free plan, downloads are web-size at 2000 px on the long side and carry a small Pxture logo. Paid plans give full-resolution downloads with no Pxture logo.

Can I send the gallery from Pxture?

Yes. You can copy a ready-made, editable message, or email the gallery to up to 5 clients straight from Pxture. Replies go to your own email address.

What happens to a gallery after it expires?

Clients who open it see “This gallery has expired”. Your photos are kept in your account, so you can change the date if you want to reopen it.
